The jobholder will be responsible for maintaining the availability and integrity of the main computer system, ensuring that back up and recovery procedures are effective. Main Duties / Responsibilities
To provide system management, administration and support to approximately 80 users and 10 servers across 3 sites.
Maintain printers, copiers, fax machines and clock-in / clock-out infrastructure.
Purchasing all IT equipment including mobile phones as well as IT hardware and software – create efficient system for this.
Maintain Telephone and CCTV system
Maintain software licenses
Maintain email (Microsoft exchange) and backup system
Maintain Firewall, Anti-virus and Anti-Spam systems
Help support the company’s ERP system (Microsoft AX)
To review IT Policy document
Instructions to users on backup, internet and security
To complete company IT inductions
Review and advise on security issues
Essential Skills
Windows XP and 7
Office 2003, 2007 and 2010
Server 2003 and 2008
Exchange 2003
Printers and Scanners
Computer networks
Desirables
Knowledge of ERP systems
Good understanding of network equipment, Wireless technologies and Telephone systems
Installation of CAT5 cabling
Network switches and Firewalls
Languages (Italian)
Exchange 2010 – Avaya telephone system
Experience & Qualifications
Ideally 2/3 years’ experience in a support environment (Manufacturing)
Educated to a degree level in computing or equivalent experience
