Common questions

Anticipate common questions:

• Why are you interested in the position?
• What qualities can you bring to this role?
• What are the most satisfying/frustrating things about your current employment?
• Where do you see yourself in 5 - 10 years time?
• How would you describe yourself?
• How would your manager describe you?
• What are your strengths and weaknesses?

The final question is a tricky one, don't pretend you haven't got any weaknesses but don't stress anything too negative.  Admit one weakness and discuss it as though you have recognised it and have strived to overcome it, i.e. 'I used to have bad time management but now I prioritise my work daily'.
